University Delegations from the Middle East (Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and Cyprus) and Balkans (Sarajevo, Zagreb, Podgorica and Skopje) and Roman Families
Experiencing the Holy Land with families, United Nations officials, and university delegations from the Room International seminar. An important experience that highlights Pope Leo’s message that families are an important and fundamental factor in international peace. The experience in Assisi, where families who visited the Holy Land, UN officials, and delegations from the Middle East and the Balkans came together, is an important and innovative way to promote peace and a culture of solidarity. As Cardinal Patriarch Pizzaballa expressly sent us a message and said, bringing families to Assisi and meeting with delegations from the Middle East is a very important path to peace. The diplomacy of St. Francis is clearly a sure path to dialogue and solidarity, which joins the message of generosity and love brought by families with their children.
HOMILY FOR THE JUBILEE OF FAMILIES BY POPE LEO XIV
“And let us not forget: families are the source of the future of peoples. Today’s world needs the marital covenant to know and welcome God’s love and to overcome, with its unifying and reconciling power, the forces that disrupt relationships and societies. For this reason, with a heart full of gratitude and hope, I say to you, spouses: marriage is not an ideal, but the canon of true love between a man and a woman: total, faithful, fruitful love.”
