L'Associazione

AESI (EUROPEAN ASSOCIACION OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES) is a Cultural Association that has as its central objective the promotion of Human Rights and Ethics in the context of international politics and cooperation.

AESI aims to develop, in its study and training activities and in international programs, a true culture of cooperation between peoples and nations, respecting the dignity and identity of the human person, especially among those young people who are preparing to embark on a diplomatic career or that at international institutes and organizations.

Thousands of young graduates and university students have already taken part, in recent years, in the study seminars organized by AESI in collaboration with the Center for Higher Defense Studies (CASD), the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the European Union (Delegation of European Commission in Italy and the European Parliament in Italy). Many of them are now Diplomats and working in the International Organizations (United Nations and European Union)

Hundreds of Ambassadors, as well as Representatives of the United Nations, the Commission and the European Parliament, and numerous University Professors, Rectors, took the floor among the guest speakers at AESI. AESI’s activities include courses, seminars and conferences on topics such as the future of multilateralism and the effectiveness of multilateral institutions, the problem of underdevelopment, the development of international law and the progress of the European integration process.

With the support of the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AESI organized Seminars on training in the field of humanitarian emergencies and preventive diplomacy.

AESI carries out its study seminars jointly with the European Parliament’s Office for Italy, with the European Commission Representation in Italy. 

AESI also organizes and promotes participation in international university cooperation and humanitarian aid programs specially in crises areas promoting peacewith meetings involving young university students of different nationalities. Special attention to the Middle East, the Balkans and East Europe. AESI organized FORUM in collaboration with United Nations in New York and Geneva with the Italian Diplomatic Representations to UN, with NATO in Bruxelles, with UNIFIL in Lebanon, UNFICYP in Cyprus and UNTSO in Jerusalem, EUFOR in Sarajevo, the US Department of State and the Pentagon in Washington DC. Promoted also FORUM in St. Petersburg with the Rector of the Economic State University of St. Petersburg and GIMO in Moscow.  

The Association is a non-profit organization, independent of political parties and movements.
