AESI SEMINAR RECTORATE UNIVERSITY CA FOSCARI

AESI in collaboration with Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is organizing a Study Seminar on “University Cooperation and Peace Processes” on February 25, 2025 at 3 p.m. at the Aula Magna of the Rectorate. Speakers will be Pro Rectors Prof Antonio Marcomini, Prof. Chiara Saccon and Prof Roberto Marrella of the University of Ca Foscari, for AESI the President Prof Massimo Maria Caneva and Ambassador Adriano Benedetti Ambassador of Italy and former Director General for Migration MAECI.

At the conclusion of the Seminar there will be a Discussion with the participating students moderated by David Haznedari AESI Director and Luis Marroquin President Diplomatic Association of Venice.

AESI activities will be presented regarding both the 2025 Study Seminars and the upcoming Mission to Estonia that AESI is organizing from June 10-14, 2025 in close cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Tallinn.

We needs true leadership and common foreign policy to foster peace and solidarity of the whole world. We need to build together from these early moments a new international reality of dialogue collaboration cooperation mutual understanding that fosters encounters between peoples and prevents crises before they become a dramatic conflict.

Universities come out of their ivory towers and their internal career logics to be able instead to serve the international community and make themselves useful to be able to foster new generations in their training for diplomatic and international careers. We need a new vision of university cooperation that is not only exchange and collaboration in teaching and research but also, above all, action on the ground prevention and promotion of peace.

The real research laboratory of the university and civil society the international community its own military civil social realities of the United Nations of the European Union that need a strong renewal from the roots in terms of challenges and personal decisions in order to renew these our international relations.

We do not need bureaucrats or people who are dedicated to personal career political games. There is an urgent need to have new generations who devote their lives to caring for the needs of the international community by addressing the new challenges ahead of us.

Courage is needed we need personality we need to think of the common good and to be able to pass on the values and decisions to be able to achieve these daunting goals !

Without proclamations without scandal we must be there where people suffer division contrast conflict and know how to bring people states peoples religions together in order to be able to promote peace. This is AESI, this is our international commitment as of now starting in this new year.
