AESI AND UNITED NATIONS
COOPERATION FOR PEACE
AESI PRESIDENT
MESSAGE 2025
In occasion of the Ambassadors’ Conference at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome
—
The issue of university cooperation between diplomacy, academia, and United Nations peacekeeping forces is particularly important and relevant for strengthening the foreign policy not only of Italy but also of the European Union and the United Nations itself.
t is particularly urgent to renew foreign policy strategies in the current multi-crisis international situation, as these are no longer situations that can be addressed with the traditional approach to diplomatic relations between states and international powers, which may now be a thing of the past. The multiple crises we are facing have complex origins, with each cause harking back to past tensions and conflicts between the populations of crisis areas, with serious repercussions for the geopolitical stability of entire regions of our world.
AESI has significant experience over time, especially in two geographical areas particularly affected by current crises, such as the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and above all the Balkans.
