“The conflict in Ukraine must stop immediately ! We no longer have time for armed confrontation but dialogue through diplomacy remains urgent for a possible peace.
Yes, certainly we cannot at this stage speak of a “just peace” because no one has committed themselves to ensuring a just peace situation between the parties by means of preliminary work and continuous high-level dialogue. It was mainly thought of military confrontation to provide huge quantities of weapons that may have been useful, but now at this stage it is urgent to move for a diplomatic solution because Europe needs a new situation of peace.
AESI “University Cooperation for Peace”as the former Rector of Academy in Kiev said in the video, who is an important tool to create the right situations of a “possible peace” by diplomacy through the new generations. After the Rector of St. Petersburg responded with great attention, respect and confidence after the respectful greeting to Prof. Kaminska of Kiev, asked in the video to everyone to continue this effort through university cooperation that promotes peace science and art of a culture of solidarity.
Certainly this will also facilitate the situation in the Middle East, which is particularly dramatic at the moment also due to the aftermath of the war in eastern Europe. Yes, training the new generations and working for peace and a strong message sent by Pope Francis at a meeting with young people in Rome International Seminar for Peace in October 2023 with students from Middle East and Balkans. We hope in future to invite Universities from East Europe.
